Wordle #1767: CLUMP
Today’s Wordle (#1767) was CLUMP, and the solve unfolded with a satisfying inevitability once the CLU- cluster locked in early.
SALET opened things up — only the L hit, and it was yellow (present but wrong position). Not the most informative start, but it ruled out five common letters cleanly. COULD was the solver’s recommendation for round 2, and it paid off: C locked into position 1, U settled into position 3, and L was yellow again — confirmed in the word, still searching for its slot.
Round 3 was CLUNK, which felt like a natural probe. The first three letters went green immediately (CLU- confirmed!), but N and K came back gray. At that point, with the CLU- pattern fully locked and the remaining candidate list down to exactly one, the solver had no doubt: CLUMP.
Four guesses, clean path, zero drama. The weighted-entropy approach did its thing — turning a single yellow L into a solved puzzle in three more steps. Not every day ends this neatly.
